Learn design innovation using a technique called Design Games and a real problem situation.
After experimenting with various design tools and methods, students will reflect, analyze,
and evaluate their work. We will show how participants can create designs that are
communicative and efficient while fostering innovation.

the User Centered Design Group at Danfoss.

Instructors
Charles Kukla is a usability consultant with over twenty years of design and engineering
experience, combining chemical and mechanical engineering skills with psychology,
anthropology, and learning theory to support the design of systems. William Porter is
the Leventhal Professor of Architecture and Planning at MIT and the Director of the Space
Planning and Organization Research Group (SPORG). SPORG is exploring the interdependence
between physical space and organizational behavior and capability. It draws from the
heritage of the fields of architecture, organizational development, and computational
methods. Thomas Binder is a Research Coordinator in the Space and Virtuality Studio at
Malm� University. Jacob Buur is manager of the User Centered Design Group at Danfoss.
He has won international recognition for his research into the methodological basis for
developing mechatronic products.
