Instructors
David Shen is the Director of Design at Yahoo! Inc., an Internet media company where he leads Yahoo! graphic, user interface, and usability design. Prior to Yahoo! He was a product designer at frogdesign and at Apple Computer. Irene Au is the Interaction Design Manager at Yahoo! Inc. where she works with the Yahoo! teams on usability testing and interaction design of Yahoo! properties. Prior to Yahoo!, she was an interaction designer at Netscape Communications where she worked on the Netscape 4 and 5 interfaces. Brian Buschmann is a Senior Designer at Yahoo! Inc. and leads the graphic user interface design of personalized, communication, and entertainment content sites. Prior to Yahoo!, he was designing web sites in Italy and doing graphic design at Yamamoto/Moss in Minneapolis.

Tom Brinck has Master's degrees in computer science and cognitive psychology, and has done research in educational software, multimedia, and network services. Scott Wood has a Master's degree in computer science, and experience with software development and usability consulting.

Edward Guttman is a designer and analyst with Aaron Marcus and Associates, Inc. He designed and managed the UI development of SABRE travel applications and Cogito Learning Media's CD-ROMS about science and math. He received the 1998 Communications Arts Interactive Media Design Award.
